Hot Shots, Lexington Park, MD

In an old Navy base housing area nearby the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, players will hear the rumble of fighter jet engines coming from all directions during their round at Hot Shots. Abandoned roads (and across) serve as OB on every hole and line grass fairways filled with old growth oaks and beautiful cherry trees.  Beginner and Advanced tee pads per hole, plus two baskets on most are permanently installed and ready to play year round. Graciously maintained by St. Mary's County Parks Department,

The many cherry trees makes Hot Shots one of the most beautiful courses to play in early April.

Southern Maryland's Private courses

The rumors are true. There are indeed some excellent exclusive private courses in Southern Maryland. To honor the landowners' requests, their courses are not listed here. One benefit of official SOMD DGA membership is access to these courses during pre-arranged club activity. For more information and access please join and post on our facebook page.
